Ingredients
- 2 Cups Warm Water (105-115F)
- 1 Tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
- 1/4 Cup Honey or Sugar
- 2 Teaspoons Salt
- 3 Tablespoons Butter melted(or 2 Tablespoons oil)
- 4-5.5 Cups All purpose Flour
Instructions
- Add the Yeast and Warm Water to a large Mixing Bowl. Allow to Rest for 5-10 minutes until yeast as proofed.
- Add Sugar and 3 cups of flour. Mix to combine.
- Add up to 2.5 more cups of flour while mixing, until the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl. Dough should still stick some.
- Kneed the dough for 4-5 minutes on medium, or need with your hands on a lightly floured surface for 5-8 mins.
- First Rise Coat a large mixing bowl with Olive Oil. Place the dough into the bowl and allow it to rise in a cool warm place until it has doubled in size, roughly 1.5 hours.
- Oil or butter two 9x5 pans. Divide the dough into two equal portions,punch down the dough to remove air bubbles. Shape each ball into long logs and place into greased loaf pans.
- Allow the dough to rise again in the load pans for approximately an additional hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Bake bread for about 30-33mins or until golden brown on top.
- Bread stays good for 2-3 days at room temperature or 5 days in the fridge.
