Smoked Beans

Ingredients
- 1/2 Large (22oz) cans of baked beans
- 4 slices Bacon
- 1 Sweet Onion, Diced
- 2 Diced Jalopenos
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1/2 Cup BBQ Sauce (Sweet Baby Rays)
- 2 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard
- 2 Tablespoons Worchestershire Sauce
Instructions
- Cook Bacon. (Smoker, air fryer, or pan ) Dice Bacon.
- Slice Onion and Jalopenos.
- Add all ingredients into a Cast-Iron pan large enough to stir.
- Smoke 2-3 hours at a temperature between 225F and 325F or until beans are done. Temperature is normally dependent on what else I am smoking.

This recipe started with a recipe I found online, but I simplified some of the steps that added a lot of hassle for little benefit. It is easy enough to make, especially while smoking some sort of meat. These beans have just a little bit of a bite from the Jalopeno, while also being sweet. These go well with burgers, Pulled Beef, or Brisket.
